Dorian's Page

Dorian was born in the French alps. Even if heʼs traveling around the world, he still lives in the Chamonix valley 1000 feet from a ski lift that works year round. 

Dorian grew up exploring the surrounding of the family house with his father and grandpa on long days mushroom hunting, picking plants, fishing, hunting, lumber jacking. As a lonely child he spent the vast majority of his time with the adult outside. At age of 7 they took him on 6000 feet vertical climb. As a teenager Dorian wanted more fun and started skiing more and mountaineering. After college Dorian quickly realized that an office work wasnʼt his thing so he went to work in a ski resort and never really left. Dorian works as a boot-fitter and a buyer for a sports shops.  Dorian loves to be involved in gear development of titanium cookware, ski, ski boots, backpack, tent, sleeping bag ... Yes he confess, he is a gear junkie. He is leaving his mountains to travel and discover different environment where to play.

Dorian is a jack of all trades:

Hiking: Dorian hiked on the five continents but his triple crown in the USA got a special space in his heart.
Skiing : free-ride and touring for the most part but Dorian loves a groomed day or going cross country skiing.
Mountaineering, paragliding, trail running, fishing and picking mushroom and berries are filling up the rest of the days off.
During next year Dorian would like to start snow kiting and pack rafting.

Best beer: the one I drink with friends by the end of an outdoorsy day
Best meal: organic home made food
Best song : rocky top Tennessee
Best trail: the next one !
Best travel: alpine touring in Iceland or snorkeling the great reef in Australia.
