Toaks Chopsticks, Reinvented for the Outdoors

What makes a pair of chopsticks truly worth bringing outdoors?
Traditional chopsticks need to grip, poke, and slice. But for outdoor use, they must also be lightweight, compact, and built to endure.
That’s why we chose titanium—not only for its strength-to-weight ratio, but for its ability to withstand the harsh realities of outdoor life. To improve portability, we made them collapsible. To minimize maintenance, they had to be dishwasher safe—without compromise.
Instead of glue or press-fits—which tend to loosen or fail under heat and moisture—we used pulse laser welding to fuse components. The result is a sealed, permanent joint that resists water intrusion and won’t degrade over time.
We also designed them to nest: the slimmer end screws into the handle and tucks neatly inside for storage, creating a streamlined form without sacrificing the feel of a proper pair of chopsticks.

The structure is elegantly simple: one sealed piece, one open tube. During washing, water flows through freely and dries completely—no trapped moisture, no odor, no corrosion. A silicone bead is inserted into the open end to act as a stopper, and can be adjusted for weight balance and a touch of personality.
These design choices—welded construction, nesting storage, and open-ended drainage—might not be obvious at a glance, but they define long-term performance. They’re what separate “good enough” from truly field-ready gear.
